AWS Security Architect

Reston, VA

Core Responsibilities:

  • Support the full project lifecycle - to include: strategy, design, implementation and automation, as well as production-readiness and documentation activities
  • Produce high-quality technical design, build and procedure documentation
  • Support project engagements, work collaboratively with other team members, communicate effectively, and foster team success
  • Provide transparent and regular status updates to Project and Account Management team members
  • Be able to jump into troubleshooting efforts when asked and as needed
  • Achieve and maintain AWS certification levels

  Required Skills:

  • 5+ years working or consulting directly on customer-facing project engagements
  • 3+ years leveraging AWS platform services in a hands-on capacity
  • Proven ability to architect, design and implement cloud-based and/or cloud-native solutions focused on identity and access management
  • A strong ability to bridge the gap between on-premise solutions and technologies, and migrating to cloud-native services and solutions
  • Experience using and implementing AWS Services with AWS Security Best Practices  required
  • Hands-on experience deploying Linux  system stacks required
  • Hands-on experience automating the creation, provisioning and management of AWS IAM users, groups, roles and policies, boundary policies required
  • Hands-on experience with AWS Services:  EC2, S3, SQS, Parameter Store  required
  • Hands-on experience with CloudFormation, Elastic Beanstalk, CodeCommit, CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and infrastructure as code concepts required
  • Hands-on experience with the development of automation scripts, container services or serverless compute (Lambda, AWS Batch) desired
  • Hands-on experience with Neptune  desired
  • Hands-on experience with SSM (AWS Systems Manager)  desired
  • Hands-on experience configuring supporting common infrastructure roles and tools (e.g.: DNS, NTP, Group Policy, Active Directory/ADFS, Web Application Firewalls, logging services, web proxies) desired


Required Experience:
  • Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance
  • 5+ years working or consulting directly on customer-facing project engagement
  • 2+ years leveraging AWS platform services in a hands-on capacity
